Plymouth College of Art Loan Agreement
You are encouraged to make use of all equipment necessary for you to fulfil your creative needs. Please take care of any equipment you loan, ensuring that it is returned on time and in the same condition as when you collected it.
If you do not return the equipment on time by the agreed date, our system will automatically suspend you from borrowing and booking resources and facilities for a period of ONE WEEK. Persistent lateness may result in a longer suspension until the problem has been resolved with your programme leader or tutor.
Should any item become damaged whilst in your possession, you must report it to an ERC technician with an explanation of how it became damaged. If the damage was the result of negligence or misuse, you will be expected to pay for the cost of repair or replacement, and you will be suspended from using the store until the matter is satisfactorily resolved.
Lost or stolen items should be reported immediately to an ERC technician and (if stolen) to the police, where a crime reference number will be provided.
In the case of loss or theft, you may be required to pay for a replacement and you will be suspended from the store until the matter is satisfactorily resolved. A number of companies offer low cost insurance to students to cover personal belongings and equipment borrowed from the College. Details are available on our website situated on the Student page.
In order to access equipment from the Multimedia Lab Equipment Resource Centre, you will be asked to TICK a box to state you agree with the terms and conditions of this booking before you will be able to continue.
